  • Salary: £23, 810 per annum, pro-rata full time equivalent

    Hours: 30  hours per week (0.8 FTE)

    Contract: Part-time, permanent post (subject to contract)

    Closing Date: 19-02-2025

    As part of your role, you will be responsible for internal and external communications, the co-ordination and management of contractors to ensure our refuge building is maintained, taking minutes, hold some health and safety responsibilities and ensuring our back office systems are up to date and reviewed.

    You will be an experienced Administrator, used to holding multiple priorities, working in a demanding environment; able to prioritise your own workload and work autonomously as well as part of a small team. You will have excellent skills in Microsoft Office suites and bespoke databases; to keep our systems and staff updated.

    In addition, we are looking for someone with experience in the holding of some financial responsibilities. However, whilst this is preferable, it is not essential as we are looking to employ the right person and training will be provided.

    You must be a car driver and have access to a vehicle as this role will require working over two sites and undertaking monthly banking duties.

    In this role  you will  support children and young people living within our refuges by providing structure, individualised support, play and activities to support them to recover from the impact of trauma and abuse. The role is based in our support team, where you will work alongside colleagues offering support to parents and children.    

    The successful candidate will have:

    • Experience of working with/supporting children who have experienced trauma;

    • Awareness of safety planning and risk assessing;

    • An understanding of domestic abuse and it's impact on the lives of women and children

    • Experience of safeguarding procedures and processes (both children and adults);

    • Awareness of working within an multi-agency environment/liaising with external agencies;

    • Excellent communication and record keeping skills;

    • Ability to use ICT;

    • Ability to work on a rota including early (08:30 - 4:30) and later (11:00 - 19:00) shifts;

    • Willing to participate in an On-Call rota providing out of hours support (approx 1 week in every 8 - 10) - additional payment will be rec'd for on call duties.

    • A full driving licence and access to a car (this would be preferable but not essential - non-drivers would need to demonstrate ability to access work bases via public transport or other means).
